The Vices Chords

The Vices are an up-and-coming indie band from the Netherlands that are gaining popularity for their catchy songs and energetic performances. The band has roots in the Northern ‘Groninger mud’ part of the country and has found success both nationally and internationally. The four band members have been friends since forever and “just share a passion and make music together”, as drummer Mathijs puts it in an interview we did years ago.

In 2019, The Vices released their first EP and performed wherever they could, including supporting YUNGBLUD. In 2021, they released their debut album, Looking For Faces, which led to appearances on national television and radio shows as 3FM Talent. After the pandemic, the band played 64 shows in 8 countries, making 2022 a memorable year.

The Vices have big plans for 2023, including the release of their second album, Unknown Affairs, as well as performances at SXSW, and ViceFest festivals in Berlin and London. The band members are Floris van Luijtelaar (singer/guitar), Jonathan Kruizenga (guitar/organ), Simon Bleeker (bass), and Mathijs Louwsma (drums).
