Ever since its inception, Casting Crowns have continuously proven that they are a force to be reckoned with and have collected a multitude of awards — During the past years they have, amongst other things, been rewarded with a Grammy and a Dove Award. Their album The Altar and the Door reached number two of the Billboard album charts in 2007, while their single “East to West” simultaneously stayed on top of the Christian charts for a full 16 consecutive weeks. While they have a huge following of believers, they have also gained popularity among secular audiences.
